Part of the ethos of the Phase One and Two Diet is the idea that food should be medicine and medicine should be food. Specifically, food should protect and against and help remedy a fungal infection, or the damages caused by fungi and their poisons. While the Phase One and Two Diets seem restrictive, it is only because they limit so many of the unhealthy foods that have become the foundation for the way most people eat. While many foods are eliminated, many more you may not have thought of otherwise are encouraged.

Regardless, many people get bored quickly on the Phase one Diet. “I’m tired of bacon and eggs!” or, “ I can’t eat chicken and broccoli again!” are common complaints from many people just beginning the diet. While it can be difficult to break dietary habits, it is important to remember there is a wide variety of foods available on the Phase one Diet that you should take advantage of, not just of the nutritional value, but because they are delicious!

Here are some easy, Phase one and Two approved food ideas that also have the added benefit of being anti-fungal!

1. Easy Trail Mix

The options here are endless, but a simple combination of walnuts, almonds and dried berries is a great place to start. The Omega 3 fats in walnuts and almonds, and the phytonutrients in berries pack a delicious, nutritious, anti-fungal punch. This has the added benefit of being portable and easily customizable to your own tastes. If you don’t have your own food dehydrator, look for berries without added sugar.

2. Guacamole

With avocado as the base, guacamole is loaded with nutrition and healthy, Anti-fungal fats. Add cilantro, crushed garlic, lemon or lime juice and mineral rich sea-salt, and guacamole goes a long way towards sating an appetite and helping protect against pathogenic fungi.

3. Yogurt Parfait

4. Smoked Salmon and Goat Cheese Omelette
